Why Creative Reflections? | #01
For more than twenty years I have been designing and making jewellery and sculpture.
People often ask me where my ideas come from.
The truth is they rarely begin with jewellery.
They begin with observations.
A beautifully balanced chair.
A shadow falling across a building.
The way an object feels in the hand.
The relationship between material, colour, weight and form.
Over the years I’ve realised that the jewellery is only one expression of a much bigger conversation.
A conversation about beauty.
Materials.
Craftsmanship.
Creativity.
How we choose the objects that become part of our lives.
Creative Reflections is where I’ll share those thoughts.
Some may become jewellery.
Some may remain simply ideas.
All of them come from the same place.
My hope is that these reflections encourage you to look a little more closely at the objects you live with every day.
Because I believe thoughtful design has the power to quietly improve our lives.
