Bloom, but make it bold.
The Flower Brooch is a hand-drawn stainless steel form that takes the idea of a flower and distils it into a single continuous line. The petals emerge from a central point and the line flows seamlessly into the closing pin, so the whole piece reads as one resolved gesture. It sits on the lapel with a presence that is both organic and completely architectural.
In black powder coat, the Flower is for the woman who wants nature with an edge. The black finish gives the petal form a graphic definition that makes the organic quality feel more deliberate, more resolved. It works on a white shirt where the contrast is immediate and the blooming form reads at full clarity, or on a pale lapel where the black flower becomes the most unexpected and considered detail in the outfit.
You pin it on and feel like the outfit has been given something alive. Something graphic. Something that makes the whole look feel like it grew there, but knew exactly what it was doing.
This is for the woman who wants a quiet way to be seen. Pin it to a jacket, knit, shirt, or scarf, and the whole outfit feels more personal without becoming loud.
The pin and the clasp follow the line of the drawing. It is designed to sit close to the back of the brooch. The construction of the brooch is very strong and durable, yet light on the fabric.
Why collectors keep coming back
- Lightweight and comfortable on fabric: These brooches are designed to sit lightly, without tugging, dragging or pulling the garment out of shape.
- Easy to layer: Because they are so light, you can wear one brooch quietly or layer several together to build your own small composition.
- Handcrafted in Melbourne: Made by hand in the inSync studio, one piece at a time.
- Care and repairs: If your piece needs a repair, send me your order details and a clear photo. Repairs for workmanship or material problems are complimentary. A small fee may apply for damage from wear, accidents or lost components. I’ll let you know before doing any work.
- Selected by museum and design stores: inSync design has been selected by museum and design stores internationally.
Wear with Formation Earrings - Raw Stainless Steel, Cobble Necklace - 22ct Matt Gold Plate, and Orbit Ring - Raw Stainless Steel for a collected look that feels considered from shoulder to hand.
Wear your brooch on a jacket, coat, knit, scarf or dress. It can sit high near the shoulder, low on a lapel, or at the centre of a simple neckline.
For delicate fabrics, test placement first or wear it through a slightly stronger layer.
A brooch is a beautiful way to flirt with boldness because you can move it, restyle it and make it your own.
Will it pull on fabric?
These brooches are designed to sit lightly, even on finer fabrics. For silk or very delicate pieces, test placement first.
Will it feel too bold?
Pin it to a jacket, knit or scarf you already love. One brooch can make familiar clothes feel more expressive without feeling overdone.
Can I wear more than one?
Yes. Because they are so light, you can layer several brooches together and build your own small composition.
Where should I place it?
Try the shoulder of a jacket, the edge of a collar, a knit, a scarf or the centre of a simple neckline.
How do the pin and clasp fit?
The pin and clasp follow the line of the drawing and sit close to the back of the brooch. The construction is strong and durable, yet light on the fabric.

A brooch changes the way a jacket, coat or knit feels. It gives you a small creative boost before you have said a word.
How to wear it
Pin it to a lapel, wool coat, linen jacket or generous knit. It suits women who like one thoughtful detail rather than a busy look.
The compliment effect
Collectors often tell us the same thing: someone stops them and asks where they found their piece. It is an understated kind of recognition from people who notice design.
